Our history

Saveurs & Délices was born of an unusual adventure, the desire of individuals who were not destined to find themselves in an already well-represented world where it is difficult to find one's place.

Piero and Bernard's day-to-day work involved figures, balance sheets, budgets, dashboards... with an epicurean bent. 

We did, however, have one advantage at the outset: our knowledge of a region with a worldwide reputation: the Italian Piedmont.

Piero is originally from this region and is a native Piedmontese - what a godsend!

The Alba white truffle, the white diamond, is the culinary treasure of this region, the mushroom that all the great chefs want to see on their menus, so why not make it our headliner? 

Saveurs & Délices was able to start with an extraordinary product, a mushroom that is harvested in the forests by local truffle growers who are passionate, meticulous and have a know-how that reflects years of experience and transmission.

With these truffle growers, but don't forget their dogs, without whom man would find himself quite helpless.

That's where the aptly-named Piero comes in. Thanks to his contacts, he'll find the link that will enable us to offer the Alba white truffle. To offer our customers the subtle aromas and intense flavours of the Alba white truffle, authenticated after analysis by the experts at the Centre National d'Études de la Truffe.

However, the harvest of this precious mushroom generally only lasts from October to December. We needed to expand our field of activity. We've done just that: dried fruit from Piedmont and elsewhere, wines...
